Transportation Means at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

There are several different ways to get to the airport or get to the city from the Hartsfield International Airport, and those include Shared-ride shuttles, shared-ride vans, limousines, taxis, hotel shuttles, and public transportation.

Shared-ride Shuttles

Shared-ride Shuttles usually depart in every 15 minutes and takes passengers to Clayton, Cabb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett Counties. Shared-ride Shuttles can be located between North and South Domestic terminals outside the ground transportation area on the Green Bus Aisle.

Regional shared-ride shuttles depart in every 30 minutes taking passengers to Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Shared-ride Vans depart from stalls 3 to 10 in every 15 minutes for Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead. The fare for Downtown is $16.50 per person, for Midtown $18,50 per person, and Buckhead $30 per person.

Providers at Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead are A & M Limousine Corp., ATL Airport Perimeter Connection, Airport Shuttle, Atlanta Gwinnett Airport Shuttle, Atlanta Hotels Connection, Galleria Direct, Inc., Greater Atlanta Shuttle, Inc., North Express Airport Shuttle, Relax & Ride Shuttle Transport LLC, and Train Xpress. 

Hotel Shuttle

Almost every hotel near the airport area provides free shuttle services for their guests.

Hotel shuttles can be located at the Ground Transportation area on the Purple Aisle at the west end of the Domestic Terminal. 

Limousines

More than 300 limousine companies operate at the Hartsfield Airport.

The reservations should be made directly with companies.  

Taxis

Price of a Taxis is $30 per person to Downtown, $40 to Buckhead and $32 to Midtown. Outside Atlanta Business District the rates are computed by a meter and are $2,50 for first 1/8 mile, $0,25 for each additional 1/8 mile and $21 per hour for a wait time.

Public Transportation

MARTA’s station is located inside the Domestic Terminal. The Red and Gold lines travel directly to and from the MARTA’s Airport station.

Travelers arriving at the international terminal can take a free shuttle to Domestic Terminal’s baggage claim area. The station is situated between the North and South baggage claims at the Domestic Terminal.
