MARTA

MARTA is the 9thbiggest transit system in the United States that has buses, trains, and para-transit vehicles that provide about 420,000 passenger trips within Atlanta, DeKalb and Fulton counties daily. The transit system is a primary way of transportation for those living in and visiting Atlanta. The system has a station at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Terminal, making it easy for passengers arriving at the airport to connect to the transit system.

MARTA offers easy ways to get around Atlanta, using Breeze Cards to get on and off trains easily. The card can be loaded with as many trips as a passenger wishes or purchase a full month pass. Cards are on sale at MARTA stations breeze vending machines.

Buses operate between 5:00 AM and 1:00 AM on weekdays and 5:30 AM to 12:30 AM on weekends and holidays. Trains run from 5:00 AM to 1:30 AM on weekdays, and from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM on weekends and holidays.

If you pay with cash fare per ride is $2,50, with the Breeze Card it is $2, Breeze Ticket that cannot be reloaded cots $1, for round-trip, it is $5, Ten trips are $25 and $42,5. 1-Day pass costs $9, 2-day pass $14, 3-day pass costs $16, 4-day pass costs $19, one-week pass $23,75 and a monthly pass is $95.

The MARTA trains run on a 47,6 miles (76,6 KM) railroad tracks stopping at 38 rail stations. The Rail system has four lines: Red Line, Gold Line, Blue Line, and Green Line. Peachtree Center Station is the deepest rail station in the system located in a hard-rock tunnel, 120 feet (36 meters) below downtown Atlanta.

Marta has an Airport Station which is adjacent to the baggage claim area.

 

Atlanta Streetcar

 

Atlanta Streetcar is a new transportation option in Atlanta that has 12 stops on a 2,7-mile loop. The streetcar has a direct connection to MARTA's Peachtree Center Station and other transit services in Atlanta. The streetcar operates from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM from Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Fridays, from 8:15 AM to 1:00 AM on Saturdays, and from 8:15 AM to 11:00 PM on Sundays.

Price for the one-way trip per adult is $1 and free for children, $3 for a one-day pass, $11 for a weekly pass, $40 for a monthly pass, $10 for a visitor pass (5 days).
